Fashionhustler.com is the brain child of Joel Human ®.
Joel Human, who was born in Brooklyn, NY, grew up as a graffiti artist, and after dropping out of high school, being homeless as a teen, and living on peoples couches, he received a full scholarship to Pratt Institute of Design.
Soon after college, Human barged right into the fashion industry, developing innovative designs for the world’s most recognized brands. His creative projects are featured in many media outlets like TV shows, MTV, BET, VH1, HipHop music videos, movies, and industry/consumer periodicals such as The Source, XXL, and Complex magazine, consistently for the past 14 years.
In 2005, Human left the corporate side of the fashion industry to pursue his entrepreneurial spirit, but more importantly he wanted to give back to the people who couldn’t afford the design education that he was blessed to receive, and that’s how Fashion Hustler was born. Human created video tutorials showing everything he learned in design school and the fashion industry, and put them online for the world to learn from.
The response has been tremendous. People from all over the world have watched and learned how to design from Human.
